The Problem With Great Books

On a good day, I might come up with a clever phrase, maybe the right pairing of words to elicit some new perception or an apt description that captures a moment. And most days I muddle and hope. I'm reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver where every sentence, every page is a revelation. And in every chapter, hundreds of images woven together with indomitable Demon. It helps to know she won a Pulitzer.
